Day 5: Under new management

Our grateful response to all that God has done for us (described in Ephesians 1-3) is to live in a manner that pleases Him (ch 4-6).

Some key expectations of the new life as a Christian are:

1. Loving my Christian brothers and sisters

Read (Ephesians 4: 1-7)

What practical steps can I take to enhance my fellowship with other Christians around me?

2. Holy living:

Read Ephesians 5: 1-13

What aspects of my life need to change as part of my commit-ment to honour God?

3. I can appropriate the power of the Holy Spirit for victorious Christian living and effective ministry.

Read Ephesians 5:17

This important subject will be discussed further in the next module.

4. Honoring God in all my relationships.

Read Ephesians 5:21, 22-25, 6:1-4, 5-9

What adjustments do I need to make to ensure my relationships are aligned to God’s standards?

5. Readiness for spiritual warfare.

When I made a new friend in Christ. I made some new enemies: Satan, my flesh and the world!

Read Ephesians 6: 10-18

What can I do to be prepared for spiritual warfare?

Ephesians 4:1

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
