Stress-busting diet

The effects of stress on health include insomnia, weight fluctuations, reduced immunity, depression, headaches, digestive problems and even heart disease. It is therefore important that we manage stress, not only through exercise and mental relaxation techniques, but also through diet:

Foods rich in vitamin C like oranges, which reduces anxiety levels. Daily probiotics to promote gut health, which has a direct corrrelation to mood. Dark chocolate which is rich in antioxidants, lowers stress hormones, with the added benefit of feeling emotionally indulgent. Herbal teas like chamile and lavender for relaxation.
