I recently became a mother to a beautiful baby girl. I love her dearly, but I am so stressed I can’t stop crying. I feel so overwhelmed by all the responsibility. Other mothers seem to cope, so I feel guilty for feeling this way.

A new baby brings a whirlwind of activity and emotion, ranging from pride and happiness to extreme fatigue and stress. Between thw physical and emotional changes you’re going through, it is very commpn to feel completely overwhelmed. Start by limiting yourself and for your baby. Delegate other chores and tasks to other family members. Relax and enjoy the time you have with your baby, and allow yourself to cry when you feel like crying. The good news is that it gets better with time. As you get more comfortable with care-giving, you’ll find that you begin to develop much more confidence and will feel a lot less overwhelmed.
