We live in a very materialistic world. Even if you don’t have the meandls to live an extravagant lifestyle in a designer house and everything your heart desires, you have probably longed for the luxurious things you have seen others enjoying.
Jesus tell us in the Bible, however, that our focus should be on storing up the treasures in heaven, rather than on earth. After all, what good are your possessions to you in the greater scheme of things? You came into this world naked and when you die you will leave all your goods behind.
With that in mind, there is no point being obsessed with wearing the right labels, driving the latest car, or chattn on the latest cell phone; our possessions should simply to be tools we use in our daily lives, not the focus of our existence.
Instead, we should be focusing on our relationship with God and doing some good for the people we encounter every day. That is what is really important.
Remember, the one thing you can take with you when you die is a life lived in harmony with God and our fellow human beings.
